Torsten Arnswald is a senior Economist at the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin, where he has been leading the Fiscal Policy Division since 2014. Prior to his tenure at the Ministry of Finance, from 2010 to 2014, Mr. Arnswald worked at the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany as an Economic Advisor to the President and Head of Economic and Social Affairs Division. He has been Economic Advisor in the European Policy Department on EMU, Eurogroup & ECOFIN affairs at the Federal Ministry of Finance between 2005 and 2010 and an advisor in the Economic Policy Division at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin from 2003 to 2005. He has previously worked for Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt, Germany, as an Economic Analyst of Financial Markets Developments.
Torsten Arnswald was born on January 22, 1970, in Karlsruhe, Germany, and is a graduate of the University of Heidelberg.
