Shopkick – connecting shoppers to physical retail

Project Info

Project Description

Shopkick is the most-used US shopping app connecting shoppers to physical retail. We’ve partnered with major retailers and brands to provide deals and rewards to shoppers at the store. Our long list of partners include Macy’s, Target, Best Buy, JCPenney, Kraft, Unilever, P&G and many, many more.

Since shopkick was founded in 2010, we’ve grown from five people in a basement to a vibrant community of engineers, designers, product managers, content curators, and partnerships managers. Shopkick was initially funded by Kleiner Perkins‘ iFund, Greylock Partners, and Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn and Facebook investor. In October 2014, shopkick was acquired by SK planet, the South Korea-based mobile and commerce leader. As the biggest acquisition in mobile commerce history, shopkick is now enjoying accelerated growth as the centerpiece of SK planet’s US commerce portfolio. Furthermore has shopkick launched in Germany in October 2014 to bring the world’s best shopping companion to Europe.
